Thank you Snoop! for inspiring me
Every once in awhile you pick up a book that actually changes you and inspire you.
(thats what I hope to do-give you a good yet inspire you…better you) I read Felicia “Snoop” Pearsons new book “Grace After Midnight” and thats what it did for me- gave me an awaking…a breath of fresh air. It told me that shit happens-but it will be okay!
Her story reminded me so much of my own…I was a foster child for the first few years of my life…I was constantly tease as a child. When I was about seven my aunt cut of all my hair. So, for years I was called a boy…what she felt like inside I was forced to portray physically. I was miserable.
“Grace after Midnight” took me back to my own childhood life.
I had started writing my memoir and placed it in the corner and didnt touch it for a few years. In many way its somewhat complicated to write if your not in touch with your true self…what I really learn from reading Snoops memior is that if your gonna write a story- you must tell it in it’s entity…let people see who you really are…
You have to expose yourself…
Those intimate thought that were between you and yourself …those ones that you never told anyone else-must be told…how else do you free yourself. It’s not at all possible if your hiding from yourself.
So, I’d like to say
Thank you Snoop!
for inspiring me and encouraging me
I can say this and I mean this from the bottom of my heart!
Your never too old to learn something from someone else.
With that being said when I do get to my memoir status- alot of stuff is going to come out!
I get a couple of books under my belt first…so to my supporter I say wait on it-
It’s going to be a hell of a ride!
